Communication -- due December 15


Respond to this statement: Effective communication is the single most important skill anyone can have when entering the workforce.

I think effective communication is very important because if you don't have effective communication then you most likely won't go very far in life.

Effective communication is important because without it people wouldn't know how to communicate properly. It also shows what kind of person you are. Like Melissa said, you probably wouldn't go very far without effective communication.

If you enter the workforce without expected communication, and cant listen and communicate back you wont be able to communicate with customers. Employers want people who can handle situations they normally wouldn't go through, to make the customers happy. Being able to listen and communicate back will let them know your fit for the job.

Without effective communication, large companies can lose millions of dollars if someone misunderstands or tells somebody the wrong information. When in the workplace it is very important that you listen carefully, speak clearly, and ask questions when needed to prevent these types of things that can happen due to poor communication skills. Using effective communication will make the workplace a much better place for the employers, customers, and the whole business.

Well to get by in anything especially the work force you do need effective comunication. if you dont have this skill people might respect you or see that you have any potential because whats the point of hiring someone you cannot comunicate with.

If u enter the workforce with a bad attitude and a careless appearence you will struggle. This will signal to the boss that you don't care about your job and your not worth communicating with. You always need to go into the workforce with a positive attitude and your head held high so u can succeed in what ever you do as a profession.

Well said, Jeremy, about the financial impact of poor communication skills. We talk all the time about getting your message across and being polite and respectful; we forget to mention the huge monetary price paid when people don't pay attention or don't communicate their wishes or instructions.

I think that effective communication is very important because having good communication skills will help u threw life alot. This will help u get a job especially jobs that involve talking to people. It's just very important to have good effective communication.

I feel that it very important to have good communication skills because it will help you deal with people weather it be difficulties or simply making a speech about something. You could be trying to sell something for your company that may profit another company but if you don't know how to speak effectivly then that sale won't go well. I also feel that good communication skills will go along way if your higher up the work latter (manager or something), so that you can talk to your employees with respect for example.

Good communication is definatly the most important thing in communication becauseno matter what you do you will always communicate with people. With the few amount of jobs without customers to directly talk with, there are also your supervisors and the other employees. With bad communication skills you barley stand a chance to even get a job.

I believe that good communication skills will get you further in life and you will succeed and strive where others with poor skills fail. Good communication skills are key to people looking to go into the military and that is probably in my future so I will need to get them.

That is a very true statement. We all need and effective way of communicating so that everyone you work with knows what your talking about. Even family and friends need this so we all understand whats going on. I think we all build this over time, by getting used to the people around you and knowing how to talk to them. You can't have a buisnees if you don't know how to talk to people. I mean thats how the world works, all of the presidents and country leaders communicate. We all should have an effective way of communicating and everyone's way is different, but we all learn to socailize with each other.

I believe that if you do not have good communication skills when you enter a work place you will not be able to get a good job or a job at all. Good communication helps the interviewer understand how you are with customer service and customer satisfaction, also good communication skills can and will help you better yourself in the feature.

When your trying to get a job anywhere, whether you are going work at a fast food resurant or a big buisness you need to have good communication skills. You need to know how to communicate with all types of people in all types of situations

It's so simple everyone should no without good communication you wont go anywhere. you need communication skills to talk to the employers and during the interview you need to use them otherwise you probably wont get the job like ashley said it doesn't matter where your applying it could be fast food or a place like sanford like the guest speaker we had, it is so important and you need to use them to go anywhere in life. and also like jermey said,"Without effective communication, large companies can lose millions of dollars if someone misunderstands or tells somebody the wrong information".
